Something was approaching the Earth. Something from another galaxy, possibly another time. Its presence in our solar system didn't disturb us on a massive scale, but the beasts of Genesis Island could feel it. As the world's astronomers watched it day and night, the strange mass of light rapidly approached the planet Earth. The greatest creatures roaming god's creation knew it was coming, and as night fell upon the islands, the beasts were more than awake.

Part 3 of a 6-way art trade with

. This took a while to do, process wise. I went through NUMEROUS sketches before coming up with this. I knew right away I wanted to do a picture of the mech undergoing repairs/upgrades. I ended up using the DVD insert to the Sony release of Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla for inspiration.

Aah! I love the little guys swinging down on wires/cables. They're like little daredevil mechanics, not satisfied with MERELY helping repair a tree-hundred foot mech.

The TypewriterThe Typewriter

It began and ended with a word.
Not a particularly strong or powerful word, but a word that changed everything. It wasn't too long or difficult to spell. It wasn't uncommon either. In fact, it was a perfectly ordinary word, but, I suppose, its commonplace origin is what made it so special.
I loved that word.
But the word doesn't mean much without the story along with it and I was always one for telling good stories.
