Entry #28! The super-adapter lizard known as Razor!

Powers:
- Adapt: Razor’s gift is the ability to adapt to any and all situations. For example, once struck with enough firepower, Razor’s hide will begin to harden into a thicker form. Exposed to poison long enough and he’ll grow immune. Staying underwater, he’ll develop gills and webbed digits. His adaptations slowly wear off over the following days, however. This skill does have its flaws and some adaptations take something away from Razor. If he becomes more armored, he’ll be slowed down. If adapting to the water, he’ll move awkward on land and have to readapt to land. If adapted to poison gas, he will have to re-adapt to oxygen.
- Killer Bite: Being part Komodo Dragon and Gila Monster, it comes as no surprise that Razor has a lethal, killer bite. His bite not only contains the bacteria found in Komodo Dragon saliva, but also the poison of a Gila Monster.
Can burrow at 120 MPH.

Biography: In the middle of a South American jungle, a deranged scientist worked in solitude. Using humans and animals in his grotesque experiments, he excelled at nanobots technology, allowing him to gene splice animals together. The infamous Dr. Rudolph Ackert had created three monsters: the 30-meter worm known as Mucus, the lion-sized badger monster called Slag, and the largest and strongest of the trio being Razor. Feeding his creations humans, the scientist underestimated his own monstrosities. The giant lizard, a hybrid of komodo dragon, gila monster, and iguana grew huge and escaped. It killed and ate both Mucus and Slag before vanishing into the jungle.

In a panic over his illegal actions, Dr. Ackert gets in touch with an old friend of his: Dr. Miles Himes. By this time, the A.K.D.F was well underway of being established and a small force was sent out under the command of General Kurich.

Upon finding the 135-meter lizard, the forces tried to drop electrical nets on it. For a few moments the reptile thrashed in pain, but slowly this thrashing began to stop. It had adapted to the electrical current. Not even Dr. Ackert could explain this strange power and soon Razor was on a warpath again.

It trampled through a small village and soon more firepower was brought out against it. Lasers and tank rounds began to pelt the beast from a distance. Through the smoke and fire, Razor could be seen, his entire form now covered in a hard layer of thick skin showing small burns and scorches.

The forces didn’t stop their attack and continued to assault the monster. Eventually the creature began to burrow and vanished under the ground. Not able to move the monster as of yet, the human forces kept a watchful eye on the beast until the Kaiju Reservation of Africa could be completed. The beast was captured using Plague and Swamp and carted off to the monster haven where it lived in peace with its fellow monsters and its adaptation skills came in handy once studied when Ebolco threatened the world.

When Rosie and Cyber-Thresher attacked under the Klenthurian flag, Razor helped in the battle against Cyber-Thresher, but was quickly sent into retreat after getting a nasty hit of the shark’s chainsaw-like sword.

Creative History: Originally just a gigantic iguana with gila monster skills, Razor was once removed from my roster entirely. A while ago I revived him, especially after watching the movie Aberration. It was here he was given the power to adapt to situations, just like the killer lizards in the movie could. This idea, while not very original because of that movie, helps make Razor stand out in a genre flooded with giant reptiles. That and he’s the biggest, baddest gila monster this side of The Giant Gila Monster.
